With over 20 years of culinary experience and a passion for education, Chef Jo founded JoRoBee’s Culinary Lab to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world life skills.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to be age-appropriate, STEM-integrated, and aligned with developmental milestones. Every class is an opportunity for children to build confidence, creativity, and independence.

Everything you need to know about JoRoBee’s Culinary Lab

Our programs are designed for children ages 3–18, organized into four groups: Preschool Chefs (ages 3–4), Little Chefs (ages 5–8), Whisk Kids (ages 9–12), and Teen Culinary Crew / Snack Squad (ages 13–18). We adjust recipes, tools, and instruction based on age group to ensure everyone has a safe, fun, and age-appropriate experience. Ask us about our 2-year-old program!

Absolutely! We take allergies very seriously. Just let us know about any dietary restrictions when booking and we’ll adapt recipes accordingly. We can accommodate most common allergies including nut-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free.

Everything! We bring all ingredients, cooking equipment, utensils, and supplies. We also handle all the cleanup. You just need to provide the space and the eager young chefs.

We recommend booking 2–3 weeks in advance for birthday parties and private classes. Summer camps fill up quickly, so we suggest registering 1–2 months ahead. Last-minute bookings may be available — just ask!

Yes! All JoRoBee’s instructors undergo thorough background checks and are trained in food safety and child supervision. Your children’s safety is our top priority.

Yes — we come to you! JoRoBee’s Culinary Lab is a fully mobile program. Whether it’s your home, school, church, community center, or event venue, we bring the entire kitchen setup to your space. No need to travel anywhere.

More than just cooking! Our STEM-integrated curriculum covers kitchen safety, nutrition and healthy food choices, measuring and math skills, teamwork and communication, personal hygiene, etiquette, and emotional wellness. Kids build real life skills while having a blast.

Group sizes vary by program type. Birthday parties and private classes typically accommodate 10–20 kids. School and aftercare programs can handle larger groups. Contact us with your event details and we’ll work out the best setup.
